The slider there is for the microphone monitor and so you can hear outside the headset. Go to Levels and make sure there is not a microphone slider there. If you wish, you can also remove the USB port and replace it with a cord that has audio jacks. I realize this is an old post, but if anyone has a similar issue, make sure you go to Sound in Control Panel, go to Playback, click on the headphones, and go to Properties. Make sure that the jack is in working condition. A hardware fault not only covers your ports but also includes your Mic’s jacks. Right-click on the Razer headset and select Uninstall device. You can choose to buy a new product, or you can simply try checking for the issues. ![]() If you have tried all the solutions mentioned above and they still not work, then it means that there is a hardware problem. Try turning off mic boost if it is on and lower the levels. Disable any other sound devices, like the HDMI sound.
